Professor Monica Lahra

Professor Monica M. Lahra is a Senior Staff Specialist Microbiologist and Medical Director of the Division of Bacteriology, New South Health Pathology (NSWHP), Randwick based at the Prince of Wales Hospital, and Conjoint Professor at the University of New South Wales. She is the Director of the NSWHP Neisseria Reference Laboratory and World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre (WHO CC) for STIs and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and leads a team responsible for surveillance of the pathogenic Neisseria species nationally and internationally. The NSWHP WHO CC is the coordinating collaborating centre with the WHO of the WHO AMR Surveillance CC Network .
